The funny part about this whole post is that the title totally captures my spirit... because all I do is spend my money and then convince myself that it's really okay to drop big bucks on things that "define" me. Ever read the shopaholic series? That's what this post reminded me of... So fresh and funny and yet really honest about your character. Can't wait to read some more of these!

If I could get away with wearing pyjamas to work - I would. I have absolutely no sense of style, and have to buy all my clothes at Primark (a super cheap shop for wannabe trendaholics in the UK).
I'm better at buying new clothes than the Novelist is, who, no joke, mysteriously "acquires" his clothes. Only recently he adopted a yellow t-shirt from a friend's washing line, a jacket and sweater which were left at our house by two different people. What's weird, they always fit him perfectly.

I love the sales pitch to your customers. As someone who also works retail, I use pitches like this all the time. The saddest part is, people always believe you. Note to any non-retail worker out there: Unless you're talking to someone whose certified, all you're hearing is bull shit. I will tell anyone anything they want to hear, as long as it gets them the hell away from me.... lol. I know that's mean but I can't help it. I'm anti social.
